The Morning After the Night Before

Clean and simple, classic yet modern, femininity with the right amount of textures and colors delicately flaunts Juliette Hogan's signature style. I always check her collections to see what's new. "The Morning after the night before" is her Winter 2011 collection and I'm loving the model's hairstyle as well.  I think my favorite collection of hers though is the Winter 2010 called "So pretty it hurts"; so true because my heart truly ached after viewing those pretty outfits, oh how i wished to have all that wardrobe : )

Dots, Stripes and Wildflowers, it's Spring!

What a nice spring day! Not too warm and not too cold. We hung out at my Mom's house, ate yummy food and a fruit dessert cake.  My husband and my brother came out with me to take a few pictures outside while my Mom and the kids watched Spongebob episodes. "Ahoy there me hearties!"

I usually don't mix dots and stripes but I felt like doing so this particular day. The wildflowers seemed to enjoy it : )

Fashion starts early

When I was a kid, I used to look through my mom's fashion magazines. One day, I came across this sewing pattern book called "Simplicity" and fell in love with the drawings. I used to copy them because I wanted to become an artist but then as I kept reading through them, I thought "I think I want to be a fashion designer!" Although, I didn't become a fashion designer, I still love fashion!


The green dress on the left looks like my vintage 60's mod scooter dress (without the yellow buttons, of course) from my last blog post.

Craving Almond Tea Cakes

I should have posted this weeks ago but I totally forgot. Well, so what if it's a little late, it's still fun to post ha ha! Anyway, I was craving financiers (almond tea cakes) on Mother's Day and my husband took me and his mom to Bouchon in Yountville, CA for breakfast (post Mother's Day). Yummy yums! They are a little pricey so I gotta learn how to make these soon.

Went out to celebrate my brother in-law's birthday. I haven't gone to a club in more than a decade and I was feeling a bit nervous but after a couple of drinks, I was havin' a ball! Woohoo! I had such a wonderful time dancing all my troubles away. Sometimes you just need to get out of your shell and let loose. I'm so glad I had gone. For a few a hours I felt euphoric and stress-free, I really needed that.

Birthday Party

Thinking it was going to be a warm Saturday, I put on a lightweight, sleeveless dress under a denim jacket for my niece's birthday party. Since I am a person that always thinks "what if", I grabbed a top that I haven't worn in a while and added it to my simple attire. I was glad I did for it was a little cold and windy. The balloonish type design on my top kind of went well with the occasion.

I have now officially entered the "blogosphere". I've been wanting to start a blog but I've been so busy, well, I'm always so busy.
